Here are some of the main hospitals throughout Italy. You are probably best advised to research ahead of any trip to Italy if you have specific medical requirements. Note that the old E111 form is no longer valid; if you are an EU citizen then you should obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). The EHIC is not a substitute for medical and travel insurance, but entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Italian nationals.
